Andover Residence
This Andover client contacted Matthew to help with entry and arrival sequence to their soon to be renovated home. The original steep driveway and crumbling retaining wall were redesigned to allow for a graceful sweep of the new driveway edge which is further carried through to the front walk. Ample room was added to accommodate up to 5 cars in the parking court, which is detailed with a low fieldstone wall, cobble edging and aprons, plantings and granite posts. The removal of the driveway provided an opportunity to deal with crucial water issues and wayfinding problems. A curved fieldstone retaining wall allowed for regrading to ensure proper drainage while providing for improved views from inside the home.
