This unique, shingle sided, gambrel roof home sits high atop a summit overlooking the neighborhood. Several years before the new owners purchased the property, a garage was sited down the hill with little thought to the connection to the main house. UBLA is currently in the schematic design phase for this project, providing a master plan for the backyard that unifies the house, yard and garage. The concept centers on the creation of a circular lawn space defined by a retaining wall, antique brick walkway, and ornamental flowering trees providing a strong vertical form. This lawn terrace will provide much needed level playing area for the many children and grandchildren who frequently visit, as well as provide ample space for the yearly lobster bake which needs to accommodate 100+ guests.
